More Dita

There is something so alluring about a woman that really knows, not only what looks good on her, but has her, um "stuff" together enough to really pack for a trip properly.  So many times I have over packed, or under packed for a trip.  It never ceases to annoy me.  This is a recent article called Dita Von Teese: What I Wore, which is her account of what she wore from December 7 - 15, 2011.

Now, don't get me wrong I know it's her JOB to do this and she definitely rocks at her job, but I wonder how much more put together or just plain confident I would feel if I took a bit more time to put my look together on a daily basis.  I also think it would take less time then I think.  I would pretty much bet it takes just as much time, if not less, than it takes me to rifle through my clothes trying to find something...anything to wear some mornings!!  

The next step is to stick to my closet overhaul plans, but I feel like I am in limbo...more about that later. 

Nobody Said It Would Be Easy

After having the realization about how I was buying clothes that I didn't even like. I decided I don’t want to do that again! I mean, COME ON, seriously, what a waste!!

So, to help me with that I am re-reading Simple Isn’t Easy by Olivia Goldsmith and Amy Fine Collins. My sister gave me this book many years ago, which I have read several times to be honest, and then did nothing with the information. However, the desire to do something with it has been rearing its head for some time. Plus, the book is hilarious!

I am currently on the Dress Rehearsal of Thought I Liked It When I Tried It On, which starts with a quote from D.T. Suzuki, “In the beginner’s mind there are many possibilities but in an expert’s mind there are few.” I think that’s a fancy way of saying, “less is more”.

If I am feeling brave I will take some pictures of the finished project.
