It was another rough day at work. By the time we got to 10:00, four staff members had been let go. Including the two attorneys there were let go on Friday, that is six all together! The Managing Partner and HR director called a meeting at 10:15 to explain their decision, which from a business standpoint totally made sense. We are almost in a recession and part of our firm's practice is Real Estate law.
Needless to say, everyone was working very hard today. The two secretaries that were let go were not known to be team players, so everyone is bending over backward to be helpful and cover wherever needed.
I feel SO bad for the people that were let go. Needless to say, I am feeling very protected and very blessed. This whole situation has made me feel all the more passionate about getting my debt paid down and my finances in order.
